On January 12th, we
determine whether or not you had made a New Year’s resolution. We questioned
how tightly you’ve followed your vow to a fresh start, a new workout regime, or
perhaps, spending more time with those you love. You’ve now made it 17 days! You’re probably feeling pretty good about it, aren’t you? Well, forget about it! Who needs a
New Year’s Resolution anyway? Today is National Ditch Your New Year’s
Resolution Day! Sure, it felt good to wake up 5 minutes earlier every morning,
or to stop eating potato chips, but what’s the point? Those extra few minutes in
bed are awesome, and so what if potato chips are my reason for living? …okay,
so they’re not actually my SOLE reason for living, but they do make life all
the better!
According to a 2007 study at the
University of Bristol in the UK, there is an 88% fail rate of resolutions set
at the beginning of a new year! That’s pretty significant. And, since this blog
is mine…I hope it’s wrong!
