National Random Acts of Kindness Day!

I’m super excited for today, because it’s National Random Acts of Kindness Day! I love this holiday, because it makes us think outside of ourselves by doing something nice for others. AND, maybe best of all, its relatively easy to do! A random act can be anywhere from a high five to shoveling a driveway. It could be baking some cookies for the family who’s going through a hard time, or telling someone a terrible, but funny joke! In fact, I love this National Holiday SO much I’ve designed (with the help of some of my favorite ladies) a term project around it, in a little day of celebration we like to call “Operation Pay It Forward!” This of course, will be taking place later in the term, but it encompasses what this holiday is all about! We’re hosting a concert for the local nursing home, handing out free high fives and hugs, as well as messages of encouragement and cheer from local elementary students!

It’s so easy to make a difference in someone’s life! What random act will you preform today? Let us know! Need some ideas? No problem! Check out these websites for some suggestions (some are easier than others!)!

As my brother always says "Make it a great day," only today, make it great for someone else!
