It’s National Stress Awareness
Day!
Stress is “the body's way to response to stress is by the sympathetic nervous
system which results in the Fight-or-Flight response. Stress typically
describes a negative condition or a positive condition that can have an impact
on an organism's mental and physical well-being.”
Some great de-stressors include:

Going for a walk/run
·
Exercise in general
·
Tunes/Playing an Instrument
·
Cooking
·
Reading
·
Chatting with friends/family
·
Shopping
·
Taking a bath or shower (no more than 5 minutes –
don’t waste water!)
·
…And many more!
I would just like to point out
the irony in that today, as we celebrate stress awareness, I am maxed out
stressed due to the exam I have to write today! Oh Philosophy, after today, we
will no longer be friends. …And, I’m kind of okay with that.
