National Pi Day/National Potato Chips Day

Happy National Pi Day! While I do believe a proper way to celebrate National Pi Day is to consume some form of pie, it isn’t actually the type of “pi” we’re talkin’ here! Still not sure what we’re talking about here?? Well, Pi is “a mathematical constant that is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter.” The history of Pi is quite lengthy and mathematical, most of which I don’t understand. It’s certainly worth looking into!

Fun Pi Fact: The film “Life of Pi” is based on a young lad who names himself Pi after he becomes a Pi-rehearsing champion. *Note the above description may not be a fully accurate account of the novel or film, just merely all I remember of it before I had to turn it off due to the seasickness and lack of realism I was encountering.

As if a day celebrating a mathematical sequence of numbers isn’t awesome enough…it also my FAVOURITE food-related National Holiday – National Potato Chips Day! Because they are so awesome, I will be consuming them ALLLLLLLLLL day long! Unfortunately my current fave flavour, Hot Dog (a super sweet combination of mustard and relish, which can only be enhanced by adding a ketchup chip), was all sold out. But don’t worry, I have lots of others to get me through this marvelous day! Check back throughout the day for progress reports.
