National Lemonade Day

Today is National Lemonade Day!

Now, I don’t want to seem radical or anything, and perhaps you might even want to sit down, but Wikipedia states that lemonade is “a lemon-flavored drink.” Whoa! But here’s where it seriously gets tricky…there are two different types of lemonade (seriously!) – an American version, consisting of “squeezed lemon juice, water, and sugar,” while the British version “is a commercially-produced, lemon-flavored, carbonated, sweetened soft drink.” It is believed that lemonade first made an appearance in Egypt sometime in the 10th century. There isn’t really any solid information on the origins of this thirst quenching drink, but I’ll buy into whatever evidence I can find! If it’s a scorcher of a day out there today, then may you fill your bladder with copious amounts of fresh made lemonade!

And you know what they say; when life gives you lemons, vote on the daily poll! You can do so by clicking here!
