International Volunteer Day

Today marks International Volunteer Day! Oxford Dictionaries defines a volunteer as “a person who freely offers to take part in an enterprise or undertake a task.” Volunteers are essential to the betterment and health of any society. The time each gives to whatever their cause allows it to run more efficiently. AND, you generally feel pretty good after doing so!

Allow me to take a few minutes to share a little project underway at the moment: The Judy C Kennedy Project’s First Annual Season of Giving Challenge. This Challenge consists of encouraging participants to carry out 1 random act of kindness for each day in December. At the end of the each day (or when the act is performed), participants submit their acts. Then, at the end of the month all the acts will be unveiled! To take on the challenge simple send a private message to the Facebook page linked above, or by emailing thejudyckennedyproject@gmail.com.

Even if the Challenge isn’t your thing, today, at least do something today to better the world around you! Perhaps you could start by voting on the Daily Poll!
