National Violin Day


It’s National Violin Day!

 A violin is “is a string instrument, usually with four strings tuned in perfect fifths.” The first stringed instruments are from Central Asia. Originally they were played by plucking the strings, while nowadays they are played by a mixture of plucking and by “drawing a bow across one or more strings.” The modern violin was created in the Middle East. They are widely used in many orchestras and classical pieces. For an example of just how wonderful this instrument sounds, check out the video below.
