National Cat Herders Day

Happy National Cat Herders Day, everyone!
(Image found at: http://www.garymorland.com/four-lessons-from-a-russian-cat-herder-to-help-achieve-your-dreams-for-your-family/)
Now while many of you might be thinking what is this day all about, I can tell you it actually has nothing to do with herds of cats, or cats at all, really! And, for those of you with cats, I’m willing to bet you’re a little relieved by this, as having to herd cats is, well, pretty much near impossible – hence the day! You see, the point of National Cat Herders Day is an idiomatic saying “that refers to an attempt to control or organize a class of entities which are uncontrollable or chaotic. Implies a task that is extremely difficult or impossible to do, primarily due to chaotic factors.” This pretty much also sums up frantic Christmas shoppers, so perhaps it’s fitting that this Day is ‘celebrated’ at this time of year.
So, for all of you attempting to shopping today – good luck! And for those of us not, way to stick it to the man! But, if I could just direct you to the Daily Poll, while I have your attention it would be great if you’d vote!
