National Nude Day

Today’s the day to bare it all – it’s National Nude Day! 

Today is meant for us all to appreciate our bodies, regardless of shape or size. And, since it’s most likely to be a hot summer day, this might not be such a bad day to partake in the festivities! Now, I’m not sure that celebrating this day in public is legal, but, it only happens once a year, so use your discretion.

Nudity brings about mixed opinions. Some people really like to be nude, while others like to ensure they are always wearing multiple layers of clothing…even when it feels like you’re living on the sun. In many places nudity is illegal, although there are areas that have designated spots that encourage nudity. This would not be a good place for anyone who considers themselves a Gymnophobic, or one who has a fear of nudity. It would, however, be the perfect spot for nudists. Nudism is “a cultural and political movement practicing, advocating and defending social nudity in private and in public.” Nudism is also a lifestyle choice for many families and individuals. This lifestyle is thought to have begun sometime during the early 1920s.
