World Day for International Justice

Today is World Day for International Justice…and you all know what that means – it’s RANT TIME!!!!

International Justice…where do I even start? I mean, there are just so many injustices taking place around the world that it’s actually difficult to pick a starting point. Whether it be women’s rights, LGBT rights, racial issues, North vs. South, rich vs. poor, religion vs. religion, it honestly never ends! Seriously, why is it so difficult for us to just get along?! At the end of the day, we’re all the same color on the inside, and we all eat, sleep, and pee throughout the day! Why do we need to make it more complicated than that? I’ll tell you why – money, greed, self-entitlement! I mean, people, come on! When are we all just going to take a minute and think about what we are doing to each other?! Grrr…and, why is it that we call certain areas of the world “developing”? Who says we in the Western world are developed? By who’s standards and who made them in charge? We are all able to offer up different things – this is what makes us unique. We need to work together and find common grounds so that we can find solutions that are tangible. Let’s stop taking of advantage of those less fortunate than us and learn a thing or two about life in “the real world.” Let’s celebrate our differences and offer support in times of need…and not just as a means to make us feel better about ourselves!
